THE PORTRAIT
Online natural light portrait workshop over three days
" I thoroughly enjoyed The Portrait workshops. All the presentations were really interesting and informative. I especially enjoyed learning about Laura's portrait photographs and all the practical advice about how to shoot portraits in natural light.
Laura shared all her expertise very generously.
The workshops were very inclusive with participants sharing their own images in response to the tasks and an opportunity for feedback from Laura "

" I left the Portrait workshop sessions feeling creatively nourished by Laura's tuition..! Even from the other side of the world, with the crazy time difference, the structure worked well - the sessions were close enough together to feel connected, but with enough space in between to fulfil the briefs and find subjects to photograph, to be able to properly try out the techniques Laura shared.
It gave me the opportunity to photograph my daughters and co-create some lovely images together, which felt very special. It was also a good way for me to reconnect with other photographers after finishing my MA with Falmouth Uni six months ago and having been missing that sense of creative connection and community.
I could sense when I booked it that this workshop was a great concept and I felt it was really well delivered. The first two sessions were inspiring and created a fuller picture of the potential of portraiture, and it was especially cool to be able to gain access to some of Laura's archive, career insights and her way of navigating the world of photography. The final session was full of valuable and honest information about the industry and how to get your work out there. I feel its helped me reconnect with my practice and given me renewed confidence to continue with portrait work "
