Bloom School – Terms & Conditions / Code of Conduct

By entering the Bloom School community—including all elements of online and in-person tiers, workshops, mentorship, and coaching, you agree to the following:
Confidentiality
Bloom School is a safe and respectful space for sharing. No information about the course formats, participants, or host/mentor may be shared beyond the community. Both participants and facilitators agree that all sharing and workshop content and all participant-related information remain strictly confidential.
Participation and Conduct
- Discussing your practice in a group of varied experience levels is part of the learning process. Please approach the space with openness, honesty, and generosity.
- Staying for the full session is strongly encouraged, as feedback and learning from peers are key to getting the most out of the community.
- If you cannot attend or stay for the full session, please communicate this with your host in advance, presentations will be adjusted where possible.
- Booking your group or individual session within 48hrs of the event is necessary to secure the appointment, Any bookings within 48hrs cannot be guaranteed.
- Inflammatory language or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated. Any participant engaging in such conduct will be removed from the program without compensation.
Host Availability & Boundaries
The tiers, workshops and courses are designed to be as financially accessible as possible. Therefore, no additional communication or individual support from the host can be expected outside of workshop /group crit / mentorship times unless part of a specific tier or mentorship agreement.
Content & Course Structure
The course and all its components are developed and/or supervised by Laura Hynd, Photographer, Artist, and Educator. It draws on a multifaceted approach to support emotional, social, and creative growth.
Bloom School reserves the right to modify any part of the program at its sole discretion, including (but not limited to) themes, content, delivery method, timing, or facilitators.
Client Responsibility and Disclaimer
- You are solely responsible for your own physical, mental, and emotional well-being, decisions, and actions resulting from your participation.
- The Bloom School is not therapy. If you require diagnosis or treatment for a mental health condition or medical issue, it is your responsibility to seek appropriate professional help.
- If you are under the care of a mental health professional, it is advised that you inform them of your participation in this program.
- Client is responsible for gaining permissions for use of images outside of their own creation.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Missed sessions by participants are non-refundable.
- If the host cancels, they will organise alternative session dates. If this is not possible a full refund will be issued for any remaining sessions.
- Payment receipt confirms your place in the community, mentorship or workshop and agreement to these terms in full.
Photographic Use
By participating, you agree that your photographs may be used for future promotion, social media and the Bloom School website. Bloom school wants to elevate and celebrate its clients practices. Host agrees not to publish if requested by participant.
The host commits to appropriate crediting and tagging when doing so.
Insurance
Clients must obtain public liability insurance for their photoshoots and equipment and are fully responsible for their safety and equipment.

3. Confidentiality and Respect in Coaching Relationships
We are deeply committed to the values of trust, respect, and support.
For Mentors:
- Mentors agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all private communications and session content.
- Personal or sensitive information shared by mentees may not be disclosed without explicit consent, except where required by law or in situations of serious concern (e.g., risk of harm).
For Mentees and Community Members:
- Participants are expected to respect the privacy of mentors and fellow members.
- Sharing screenshots, recordings, or private messages outside the platform without consent is strictly prohibited.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Your information may be shared only in the following situations:
- With consent, to connect you with a mentor or mentee
- With third-party service providers (e.g., payment processors, hosting services) under strict data protection agreements
- When required by law (e.g., to comply with legal obligations or protect the rights and safety of others)
5. Sharing of artwork / photography / testimonials
- Artwork strictly remains the property and copyright of the artist / creator*.
- Bloom may, on occasion, utilise members and participants artwork, creations and testimonials for promotion. For example, social media, Bloom website, and, with permission, third party publications. All usage will be credited.
- Bloom may, on occasion promote members and participants artwork
* creator being the member / participant. It is the duty of the creator to ensure use of any material within their work has full permission be that for use of image, and the integrity of others by securing permissions via model and premises releases.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data, including:
- Secure user authentication
- Encrypted data transmission
- Regular platform monitoring for unauthorised access
- Mentor confidentiality agreements and conduct training
However, please be aware that no online transmission or storage system is 100% secure.
7. Community and Conduct Standards
We uphold high standards of respect, inclusion, and integrity within our community:
- Harassment, discrimination, or harmful behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Users found violating our code of conduct may be suspended or removed from the platform.
- Any breaches of privacy will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.
